Welcome and Merry Christmas!

Hello friends and family. We are so happy that you are visiting our Christmas 2010 blog. We would like to share with you a few highlights from this past year. It has definitely been very crazy - Mark got a little taller and Melissa got a lot wider (you'll see what we mean), but it has all been worth it. 2010 has been our most memorable year together so far. We are happy that the holidays are here so that we can remember the savior and celebrate his life!!! We hope all is well with you! Please take a look around and enjoy the Christmas music too!

What do Mark and Melissa Do Everyday?

Mark is currently attending CU Denver and also working as a tutor on campus for chemistry and organic chemistry. Melissa quit her job as a registered nurse to be a stay at home mom! Yeah, we are pretty boring!

Pregnancy and The Birth!

The most memorable event this year was the birth of our son Lincoln Andrew Greenburg! Melissa had a few pregnancy complications, including hospitalization for pre-term labor at 7 months pregnant. We just figure baby boy was really excited to meet his awesome parents. Luckily both Melissa and Lincoln were in great health on day of delivery!

Melissa was pretty bored at the hospital on bedrest. She was not allowed to get out of bed at all. Luckily her mom came to keep her company along with Mark.

Lincoln Andrew

Lincoln Andrew Greenburg was born April 19, 2010. He weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and was 18 inches long. It was a very exciting day for us that we will never forget!

Ready to meet the little guy!

Lincoln was tiny. Look at how small he is next the the nurse's hand!

Vacation 2010!

This year we had a few fun filled vacations visiting family. In January we went to Roanoke, Virgina to spend time with Liz and James (Mark's sister and brother in law), in July we had the Greenburg Family Reunion in Midway, Utah and spent time with Melissa's parents in Provo, Utah and then we spent Thanksgiving in Mesa, Arizona with Carl and Paulette (Mark's Uncle and Aunt). We are also lucky to be able to get away to the Colorado mountains as often as we like and stay at Mark's mom's beautiful mountain home. Every trip was done "Greenburg style" with lots of good snacks, eating out, movies, hot tubing, swimming, laughing, and of course . . . playing cards!!!

Mark's Back Surgery

Mark had a spinal fusion in June of this year! This is why he is a little bit taller than last year. He had a couple of degenerating and herniated discs removed and hardware added. The surgery/recovery was much harder and painful than anticipated. He was suppose to stay in the hospital for 2 days, but that turned into 6 days when he had pain control issues and got pneumonia. It takes a full year to recover from this procedure. Mark has been doing lots of physical therapy and exercising everyday. He is bummed out that this winter season he will not be able to hit the slopes and snowboard - something that he looks forward to every winter.

The doctor said the only thing that Mark is not allowed to do is snowboard!

Lincoln Andrew

Lincoln has been such a wonderful addition to our family. We LOVE him!!! He has the greatest facial expressions and is usually in a jolly mood. He is now very proficient at crawling and loves to pull himself up to stand. We think he will be walking in no time. He will eat just about anything and his favorite toy is a soda can. He especially loves to play peek-a-boo with Daddy and snuggling with Mommy. He has the most sincere giggle and we can't get enough of it. He enjoys swimming and the hot tub. We can't imagine life without the little guy!
